Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

The Chief Marketing Officer provides visionary leadership for all marketing, communications, digital, and fundraising strategies across World Vision Malaysia. As a senior executive, the CMO shapes national brand perception, builds long-term donor engagement, and drives high-level innovation to grow organizational impact. The CMO is a key member of the Leadership Team and strategic advisor to the CEO and Board.

Key responsibilities

1. Vision & Strategic Direction

• Set long-term vision for brand, storytelling, public engagement, and donor growth.

• Align marketing strategy with WVM's national strategy, global partnership priorities, and multi-year impact goals.

• Serve as the organization's public-facing brand champion.

2. Executive Leadership & Influence

• Provide visionary leadership for marketing, communications, and fundraising.

• Build a culture of innovation, excellence, and service across the organization.

• Serve as a spiritual leader within the organization, nurturing faith alignment and reinforcing World Vision's Christian identity through words, example, and decision-making.

• Support the CEO in cultivating a spiritually grounded executive culture rooted in humility, prayer, and mission-driven leadership.

• Encourage spiritual formation within teams and champion values-based leadership across all levels.

3. Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership

• Lead strategic engagement with high-level corporate partners, donors, ambassadors, media, and government stakeholders.

• Represent WVM in national and regional forums, conferences, and collaborative platforms.

4. Digital Transformation & Innovation

• Champion digital innovation, data analytics, automation, and omni-channel supporter journeys.

• Drive organizational readiness for future trends in fundraising and public engagement.

5. Revenue & Growth Accountability

• Accountable for achieving multi-year revenue growth targets and diversifying fundraising channels.

• Oversee forecasting, budgets, and investment strategies for marketing & fundraising.

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.

• Minimum 15+ years of senior leadership experience, with significant marketing, communications, or fundraising expertise.

• Proven ability to lead large teams and drive transformative strategies.

• Experience engaging Board-level stakeholders and national-level partners.
