As Church

Share in our ministry to work with people living in poverty and help them realise their God-given potential.
Your Church and Us

World Vision is an international Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation within God's mission mandate for the Church. We share the ministry of the Church to work with people in poverty and oppression, and bear witness to Jesus Christ.

World Vision’s commitment is to work with churches as indispensable partners. We are fully committed to work humbly with – and in the service of – the Church to fulfill God's mission in the world.

Enrich Ministry Life

Faith for the Future Forum

A week-long challenge prompted by text messages, the Matthew 25 Challenge is an immersive way to step out of your comfort zones and connect with those living in hunger and poverty.

The Open Generation in Malaysia

The current generation is the most connected generation to date. They spend the bulk of their time online, are exposed to a variety of cultures and trends, and are famously activism-oriented, but what are their thoughts on Jesus, the Bible, and social justice?

How Can We Serve You?

There are many ways to engage your congregation and join us in reflecting God’s love. We have resources and expertise that will help connect your church to God's heart for the poor.

Speaking Engagements

Every year, our theologically trained Church Relations team visits churches all over Malaysia to minister to congregations with the Word accompanied by heartwarming testimonies of God’s transformational work in the field.

We also offer multiple platforms for congregations to respond to the biblical mandate and exercise faith in prayer and action.

Awareness Workshops

Through workshops in churches, World Vision Malaysia seeks to raise awareness and inspire people of all ages (from children to senior adults) to take action on topics like:

  • Child Protection
  • Education
  • Community Transformation
  • Humanitarian Emergency Affairs
  • Global Hunger

Fundraising Initiatives

In recent years, various church congregations have organised interesting activities like car washes and cooking events to raise funds for World Vision Malaysia.

You can also encourage your church members to support our Child Sponsorship Programme, emergency relief efforts, ministry support and/or Gifts of Hope programmes through creative fundraising initiatives.

The Hole in Our Gospel: What Does God Expect of Us?

by Richard Stearns

Ten years ago, Rich Stearns came face-to-face with that question as he sat in a mud hut in Rakai, Uganda, listening to the heartbreaking story of an orphaned child. Stearns' journey there took answering God's call on his life, one that tore him out of his job in one of America's most prestigious corporations - to walk with the poorest of the poor in our world. He uses his journey to demonstrate how the gospel was always meant to be a world changing social revolution, a revolution that begins with us.
