The current generation is the most connected generation to date. They spend the bulk of their time online, are exposed to a variety of cultures and trends, and are famously activism-oriented, but what are their thoughts on Jesus, the Bible, and social justice?
As a child-focused organisation, we are always looking for ways to understand children and young people around the world to help us navigate serving them through evolving trends, ideologies, and seasons.
With a group of partners including Barna Group, Alpha Malaysia, and Biblica, we embarked on a study – The Open Generation in Malaysia – to understand young people’s perceptions of and engagement with Jesus, the Bible, and justice.
It is our hope that this study will help us better understand, collaborate, counsel, and learn alongside them to bring up compassionate and faithful Christians.
This report was published on 7 October 2023 at The Open Generation Conference in Kuala Lumpur.
