ENOUGH. We Act now!

Hunger isn’t just an empty plate—it’s lost potential, shattered dreams and lives at risk. It means weakened bodies, lost opportunities for education, and families trapped in poverty.

We say that enough is enough. It’s time to act!

The 30-Hour Famine is a global movement to end hunger and poverty that lets you stand up, speak out, and take action. As a Famine Fighter, you’ll fundraise, experience the daily struggles of millions of children, and learn about global issues.

Are you ready to act with us?

Funds raised will support World Vision’s community development work in the countries above, providing Health & Nutrition and Livelihoods assistance to children and families. This includes:

  • Conducting behaviour change sessions with parents, caregivers, and grandmothers to promote early childhood development, growth monitoring, and improved health communications

  • Developing and distributing educational materials as well as health and nutrition training manuals for parenting group facilitators and key community members

  • Equipping communities to conserve natural resources like soil and water, while helping them build climate-smart livelihoods through sustainable practices and local collaborations

  • Improving disaster resilience and management, and implementing policies that reduce disaster vulnerabilities and ensure a safer, healthier environment

In Malaysia

This year’s local beneficiary is World Vision’s Malaysia Assistance Fund. Funds raised will support:

  • Health and nutrition, education, livelihood, and child protection projects in Mukim Tulid and Tatalaan, Sabah

  • One Goal Malaysia’s Eat Right to Play Right programme, which addresses child malnutrition through sports (badminton) among urban poor communities in the Klang Valley

World Food Programme

World Vision has been partnering with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for over 30 years as their largest non-governmental partner. In 2025, the 30-Hour Famine will support WFP's efforts to end hunger by:

  • Supporting pregnant and breastfeeding women, and children under five, with malnutrition treatment and nutrition education

  • Providing life-saving food and assistance to children and families affected by conflict, crises, violence, and climate-related disasters

  • Building climate-resilient and market-accessible farming communities, as well as post-disaster livelihood recovery

In short, your funds will help us implement holistic programmes that empower vulnerable communities to become self-reliant. Together, we can make a real difference!
