Run Registration

 

1. The World Vision Global 6K for Water (herewith referred to as the Run) is open to Malaysians, Malaysia PR holders, and foreigners with a valid working permit.

 

2. Participants under the age of 18 must seek parental or guardian consent before they register. Participants under 15 years of age must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

 

3. Completion and submission of the registration form and donation represent the participant’s agreement to abide by the terms and conditions of the Global 6K for Water.

 

4. All entries are on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.

 

5. World Vision Malaysia (herewith referred to as the Organiser) reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice or when the quota for the Run is met.

 

6. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these terms and conditions and any other rules and regulations of the Run at any given time as the Organiser deems fit or necessary without prior notice. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions of the terms, the Organiser will be the authority to interpret and in so doing, the Organiser will take into account the interest of all affected participants. The decision of the Organiser shall be final and binding. Any update, modifications, or changes on the terms and conditions or any other rules and regulations of the event will be notified on the official registration website (unless otherwise stated) and take effect from the date of notifications on the official website.

 

7. The Organiser reserves the right to change the date, venue or to postpone or cancel the Run at any time without prior notice to participants, in which case the Organiser will make an effort to inform the participants prior to the date. If the Run has to be postponed or cancelled, there shall be no refund of fees and the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused. Participants acknowledge and agree that the entry fees and other transaction costs of the Run are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. Any updates on the Run including any changes to the terms will be posted on the Run’s official website. It is the responsibility of the participants to keep abreast with such updates and changes. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.

 

8. There will be no refund if the Run is cancelled due to force majeure, i.e., incidents beyond the control of the Organiser.

 

9. The event is open to all individuals who reach the age stated in the race registration portal (as of 16 May 2025).

 

10. Participants shall provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about themselves. The Organiser may contact the participants from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser will be deemed as received by the participants. If the participants provide any false, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information, or if the Organiser has grounds to suspect that such information is false, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend, revoke, cancel, or terminate the participant’s registration and participation in the Run and refuse any current or future use of the Run’s official website.

 

11. Once the participant’s registration has been processed, there will be no refund for those who do not eventually take part in the event for any reason.

 

12. The Organiser will not entertain any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.

 

13. The Organiser reserves the right to limit or refuse entry without giving any reason or notice. The Organiser also reserves the right to exclude or disqualify any participant whom the Organiser believes is acting in any manner that is against the interest of the Run or in violation of the terms or any rules or regulations of the Run, or in cases of suspicion of foul play or fraud.

 

14. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, defer, or add any Run category without prior notice to participants.

 

15. Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their Run entry to another person or change Run categories after their registration is confirmed.

 

16. Participants agree to accept promotional materials/items from the Organiser whether in relation to the Run or otherwise.

Run Participation

 

1. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change the date of the Run. No refunds will be issued if the Run is cancelled on the orders of the Organiser due to unavoidable or unforeseen circumstances.

 

2. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Run routes as it deems fit, whether for the safety of the participants or to prevent potential hazards in the operations of the Run, at any time without prior notice to the participants.

 

3. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants' safety, participants run at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death however arising from training for or during participation in the Run. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual Run day.

 

4. The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the Run in the event of heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme weather conditions. Should the conditions persist after delay, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Run without any refund. In the event of catastrophic or natural disasters resulting in postponement or cancellation of the Run, the Organiser shall not be held responsible for any claims whatsoever in any form made by individuals or parties concerned.

 

5. Participants must wear the assigned bib number on his/her chest at all times during the Run. Participants who are not wearing the bib number will be taken off the Run route by security officials.

 

6. Road closures, where applicable, will be lifted after completion of the Run. The Run route will not be guarded by road marshals after the closure time. As per instructions by the authorities, no participants are allowed to remain on the route after the closure time. If the participant proceeds to run after the closure time, it will be at the participant's own risk. Timing will not be considered valid after the closure time.

 

7. Participants must at all times follow the respective Run route, the direction of security officials, traffic management officials, event officials, and any enforcement officers.

 

8. Participants must retire from the Run immediately if required to do so by any member of the event officials, medical staff, Run director, Run secretariat, or security officers.

 

9. No pets or any form of wheel-run objects of transport, such as in-line skates, prams, push chairs, shoes with rollers, etc. are allowed during the Run.

 

10. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photograph (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Run taken before, during, and after the event, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors.

 

11. A participant who commences to run before the actual start time (Flag Off) of his/her registered category in the Run will be disqualified. There may be wave starts based on estimated Run time.

 

12. The Organiser is not responsible for any loss, injury, or claims from using sponsored and non-sponsored products or services in this Run.

Assumption of Risks, Waiver, and Release of Liability

 

1. The participant accepts and agrees that the Run carries certain inherent dangers and risks that may or may not be readily foreseeable, including but not limited to personal injury, damage to property, or death, and his/her participation in the Run is voluntary despite the potential risks and dangers.

 

2. The participant warrants that he/she is in good physical condition, has made sufficient preparations, and is able to safely participate in the Run. The participant is fully aware of the risks and hazards inherent in participating in the Run, including the possibility of serious physical trauma, injury, or death.

 

3. In consideration of the Organiser allowing or accepting (without liability) the participant to participate in any way in the Run and/or activities registered on the official website, the participant (including his/her heirs, personal representatives, executors, and administrators) agrees as follows:

 

a. Accept and assume all of the risks and dangers and any potential risks and dangers in connection with the participant’s participation in the Run.

 

b. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither the Organiser, the online registration company, subcontractors, all municipal agencies and relevant authorities whose property or personnel are used, nor sponsoring, co-sponsoring, and other companies or individuals related to the Run, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, related corporations, subsidiaries, and affiliates (collectively “releases”) shall be responsible or liable in any manner for any costs, expenses, loss, damages, liabilities, injury, or death caused by participation in the Run.

 

c. Fully and forever releases the releases from all and any liability of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising, including any negligent rescue operation and any other form of negligence, as intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by applicable law in Malaysia in which the Run is conducted.

 

d. Waive and relinquish the right to sue or take any legal action against the releases (or any of them) for any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages of the participant on account of any injury, death, damage to property, or any other cause of action, which is caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligent, fault, act, or omission of the releases (or any of them) or otherwise.

Runner’s Kits

 

1. All participants must collect their Runner’s Kit, which includes the Ultron run jersey, run bib, and other goodies, on the Runner’s Kit collection day, the details of which are stated below. If participants are unable to collect their Runner’s Kit in person, they may authorise a duly authorised person to collect it on their behalf in accordance with the procedure detailed on the official website.

 

2. Late collection will not be entertained, and the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused due to the participant's inability to collect their Runner’s Kit. The Organiser may extend the collection time at the Organiser's discretion and on a goodwill basis only. For the avoidance of doubt, the Organiser is not obliged to extend the collection time or to ensure the participant receives their Runner’s Kit. At all times, it is the responsibility of the participant to collect their Runner’s Kit during the collection period. Runner’s Kits not collected during the collection period will be deemed as unwanted, and the Organiser shall be at liberty to dispose of or redistribute them accordingly.

 

3. The Organiser will provide the Ultron run jersey based on the specified size stated in the registration form. (If any of the specific sizes are unavailable, the Organiser has the right to replace the stated sizes with a different size.)

 

4. Changes to Ultron run jersey sizes will not be allowed after the registration form has been submitted.

 

5. All participants are required to present their e-ticket (which will be sent via email) and a valid identity document (Identity Card or passport) when collecting their Runner’s Kit.

 

6. All Runner’s Kits without special arrangement with the Organiser and not collected during the stipulated collection dates will be deemed as unwanted.

Finisher Medals

 

1. Finisher Medals will be distributed at the finish line to all participants.

 

2. No claims will be entertained thereafter.

Marketing & Promotion

 

1. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including photos taken of the participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other recorded form of the Run for any legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising.

Refund

 

1. No refund will be made for wrongful or multiple registration.

 

2. Once the registration form has been duly processed, it is NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-REFUNDABLE, and NON-DEFERRABLE.

 

3. Substitution and changing of categories is NOT allowed. Please ensure to select the category that you are eligible for. Otherwise, you will have to re-register.
