Ms. Yap is the former Managing Director of Accenture Malaysia, a global management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing firm. One of Malaysia’s few women technology leaders, she also served as the firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Lead and Corporate Social Responsibility Lead for several years.

Following her retirement from Accenture, Ms Yap was the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Research Malaysia. She currently serves as a non-Executive Director of Sun Life Malaysia.

Ms Yap joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2015 and served as Vice Chair from 2020 to 2024. She rejoined the Board in 2026 and currently serves as Board Chair.

Ms Chen is practising as a lawyer with Rahmat Lim and Partners in Kuala Lumpur and is also concurrently a Partner at Allen & Gledhill in Singapore. She has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of corporate and commercial law. She joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2020.

Special Responsibilities: Board Development, Governance and HR

Datuk Ho is currently the President of REHDA Malaysia. He is also the Executive Advisor to CITIC Sunsuria Sdn Bhd. He has more than 40 years of experience in property development as well as relevant fields such as engineering, consultancy, road privatisation and general management. He joined the Board of World Vision Malaysia in 2019.

Special Responsibilities: Audit and Risk

Dr. Manoj Varughese K Samuel is a medical doctor with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice and healthcare leadership. He is the co-founder of APM Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. and has overseen the development of a healthcare group comprising clinics, a pharmacy, and a dialysis centre. His involvement in international medical missions across Malaysia, India, and Sri Lanka reflects a strong commitment to humanitarian service. Currently, he is engaged in healthcare technology and charity work in the dialysis sector.

Dr. Manoj served as elder at Calvary Community Church in Johor Bahru. He and his wife also served together there as cell group leaders and marriage counsellors before relocating to Kuala Lumpur in 2023. He continues to speak in churches and remains active in ministry.

He joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2024.

Special Responsibilities: Board Development, Governance & HR

Ms Ong has been the Chief Investment Officer of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad since August 2017. She has over 20 years of experience in managing investments for the insurance and asset management industry. She has also been the commander of the Royal Rangers KL1 outpost for the past 10 years.

Ms Ong joined the Board of World Vision Malaysia in 2019.

Special Responsibilities: Audit and Risk

Yan Mei is a Kuala Lumpur-based commercial in-house counsel with over a decade of experience in high-value, cross-border transactions. A law graduate from University College London, she began her career in legal practice before transitioning to in-house, where she has worked across diverse sectors including satellite operations, natural resources and energy.

An active member of St. Mary’s Cathedral since 2010, she also serves on the board of governors for SK St. Mary.

She joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2025.

Special Responsibilities: Strategy and Resource Development

Ms Toh has vast experience leading external and internal communications for public listed corporations as well as national family-owned businesses in a broad array of industries. She also has experience in banking as well as overseeing corporate social responsibility efforts that make a difference in local communities.

Ms Toh joined the World Vision Malaysia Board in 2020.

Special Responsibilities: Strategy and Resource Development

Mr Badenoch is the World Vision International (WVI) Partnership Leader for Support Office Engagement. He sits on seven other World Vision National Boards including World Vision Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. He was previously the WVI Global Leader for Advocacy and Justice for Children, and prior to that was CEO of World Vision UK.

Outside of World Vision, Mr Badenoch mentors post-graduate students at Oxford University.

Hernando Betita III (fondly known as Nano), is the Chief Executive Officer of World Vision Malaysia.

He is a seasoned commercial leader with a track record of leading teams and growing global B2C and B2B brands across Asia Pacific for large multinational FMCG and technology companies. As a champion of innovation, he co-owns an AI tech startup that specialises in behavioural science and serves in the leadership team of The Apologist Project, a US-based non-profit that develops and deploys AI agents to empower missions and discipleship movements worldwide.

Outside of work, he is actively involved in teaching, mentoring, music ministry, and writing projects.
