One Goal Malaysia
Through One Goal Malaysia’s Eat Right To Play Right programme, we’re bringing sports-for-nutrition training to urban poor communities in the Klang Valley, as well as at-risk youth and primary schools in Sarawak — helping children grow healthier through better food and active play.
Sabah Community Development Programmes
Since 2014, World Vision has supported children and families in Sabah through Community Development Programmes in Mukim Tulid and Tatalaan. These programmes promote health, safety, and lasting change. Your gift empowers local communities to build a brighter future.

Sports and Nutrition Education for Children
Ignite a child's passion for play and health on the badminton court! Give RM300 so children can enjoy 12 weeks of exciting badminton training woven with nutrition lessons, along with the equipment they need.
Volunteer Coach Training
We bring badminton to local communities – and volunteer coaches keep the rally going! Give RM300 to launch a community hero’s career with a two-day training session in badminton and nutrition.
Community Kitchens for Parents
Our nutrition habits are shaped at home. Give RM300 to turn a parent into a culinary champion through six transformative sessions, graduating with recipes and tools to craft nutritious meals for their children.

Farmer Empowerment Toolkit
Making ends meet is a major challenge for families in rural Sabah. Give RM300 to provide one farmer with targeted training and tools – yielding bountiful crops and products that sustain families!

Development Programmes
At World Vision, we seek to ensure that all resources entrusted to us are used as efficiently and effectively as possible. In rare cases where donations exceed what is needed, or where local conditions prevent programme implementation, World Vision will redirect funds to equally important programmes that help children and families in need.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Giving Catalogue allows Malaysians to improve the lives of children, their families and communities by giving impactful and sustainable gifts – clean water, health & nutrition, education, livelihoods and child protection.
World Vision Malaysia supports and funds projects in several countries through various means, the main one being our Child Sponsorship Programme.
However, for some countries, funds raised through the Child Sponsorship Programme are insufficient to support transformational and development projects. As such, alternative ways of raising funds are explored – for example, the Giving Catalogue.
Giving Catalogue has replaced the previous Gifts of Hope.
Poverty and malnutrition are major global humanitarian issues, and children and communities in Malaysia are not spared from these problems.
Malaysia’s absolute poverty rate stands at 6.2% in 2022. Over the years, Sabah has remained as the state with the highest poverty rate, recording the highest incidence of absolute poverty in 2022, at 19.7%.
In addition, Malaysia faces a triple threat of child malnutrition: stunting, wasting and obesity. 21.2% of children under five suffer from stunting, 11% from wasting, while 13.6% of children aged 5 to 19 years are obese.
World Vision Malaysia seeks to respond to these challenges through local children and child-related development work. This includes our Community Development Programmes in Sabah and One Goal Malaysia’s Eat Right to Play Right programme. Funds raised through this year’s Giving Catalogue will go towards the Malaysia Assistance Fund in support of these programmes, helping us build a better home for all Malaysians.
Gifts from this year’s Giving Catalogue will go towards the Malaysia Assistance Fund in support of:
- One Goal Malaysia’s Eat Right to Play Right initiative, which brings sports-for-nutrition training to urban poor communities in the Klang Valley, as well as at-risk youth and primary schools in Sarawak.
- Our Community Development Programmes in Mukim Tulid and Mukim Tatalaan, Sabah, which empower local children and communities to overcome poverty through sustainable, holistic development work.
For each gift, you may choose to give RM300, RM50 or any amount. RM300 is considered the optimal amount for each gift and will have the biggest impact. However, giving RM50 or Any Amount will still contribute strongly towards supporting our work and giving children in Malaysia hope.
At World Vision, we seek to ensure that all resources entrusted to us are used as efficiently and effectively as possible. We will provide a report on how the gifts were delivered and the implementation of supporting programmes. The report for this year’s Giving Catalogue will be available in our Annual Review in mid-2026.
When you donate a gift on behalf of a loved one, you can send him/her an eCard to let him/her know about the special gift you have donated in his/her name. You will receive ONE eCard per gift. eCards are only available when you pick your gifts online.
Our commitment is to have your donations/gifts implemented by those working in the various field offices. The gifts are implemented in accordance with the timeline of activities carried out in a community, which is planned annually.
As our funds are primarily channelled overseas to help children living in the poorest areas of the world, your donations are not tax-deductible. To be eligible for tax exempt status, a majority of funds raised must benefit Malaysians.
