A flash flood destroyed their homes. Help them rebuild.
What Happened?
A flash flood surged through the Bhote Koshi River, sweeping away homes, roads, and bridges in minutes. Entire communities were cut off from food, shelter and clean water. Search and rescue teams are still digging through the wreckage.
The death toll has passed 1,300, with over 5,000 people still unaccounted for. As the scale of the disaster continues to emerge, more than 20,000 households need food assistance.
It is estimated that more than 17,000 children have been affected, facing displacement, hunger, interrupted schooling and protection risks.
Mothers have lost their homes. Children have been separated from their families. Communities are left with nothing but the will to rebuild. The floodwaters have gone down but the need hasn’t. Help us help children through this crisis.
