Removing barriers to equal opportunities

Every girl has the human right to grow into her fullest potential. Although there have been significant changes over the years, millions continue to suffer from poverty, injustice and abuse based on gender.

Every year, 119 million girls are out of school. 12 million girls become child brides. 1 in 3 face physical or sexual violence. Millions more suffer in silence — stripped of their rights to choose, speak, and be free.

Title goes here

Girls face higher rates of exploitation and domestic violence. Poverty is a leading cause of these problems.  Other factors such as cultural expectations (including child  brides, familial pressures for caregiving of sick relatives and denial of menstrual dignity), lead to serious health issues and school drop outs.

This doesn’t have to be the end of her story. YOU can help raise awareness. YOU  can be the reason she will one day smile and live a full life. YOU can be the reason she can live in a supportive community where she can grow.
